9Library Student (the "Application") is provided by 9Library Management Systems, Tehsil Chadoora, District Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India (the "Developer", "we", "us"). The Application is a software tool used together with our separate Admin software, which library owners use to run their study libraries. We only provide software. We do not own, run, manage or supervise any library, and we do not employ any library owner or staff. By downloading, opening or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
(a) Students of a library whose library owner uses our Admin software. (b) Other users, including users who are not yet linked to any library, who may use the public features we make available, such as finding libraries and sending a seat booking request. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use the Application only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your use. You must give true and complete information.
A booking request is only a request. It is not a confirmed seat. The library owner alone decides to accept or reject it. We do not guarantee that any seat, shift, facility or service will be available, and we are not a party to any arrangement between you and a library.
Each library is run independently by its owner. Seats, timings, fees, rules, facilities, safety, refunds and all other dealings are between you and the library owner only. A library owner may add their own terms and rules. You must read and accept them before you get access to that library's dashboard, Wi-Fi and facilities. If a library's rules differ from these Terms about the library's own services, the library's rules apply to those services only. The library owner decides what personal information of yours the library collects and why. See our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your account, your phone and any login code (OTP) sent to you. Do not share OTPs or your account with anyone. One account is for one person. Tell us quickly at the email below if you think your account is misused. We may limit the number of devices on one account.
Check-in and check-out use a QR code, your camera and your location. Your location and Wi-Fi information are used only to check that you are inside the library, and only while the app is open. You must not fake or bypass this check. Wi-Fi connection and Silent mode are optional helpers. They need your permission, may not work on every phone, and you must not rely on them. Attendance records are controlled by your library owner. We do not guarantee that any record is complete or error free.
The Application does not collect, hold, transfer or process any money. We are not a bank, a payment gateway, a payment aggregator or a wallet. Library fees are paid directly by you to the library owner, in cash or by UPI. If a library owner turns on the "Pay Now" option, the Application only makes it easier for you: it shows the payment details the library owner has entered (UPI ID, name and amount) and opens your own UPI app. The payment is made from your UPI app straight to the library owner, and we never receive or touch the money. After paying, you may type the UTR (transaction reference) in the Application, and the library owner decides whether to accept the payment record.
You are responsible for checking the UPI ID, name and amount before you pay. We do not check, verify or guarantee them, and we do not guarantee that a payment record will be accepted. Wrong or duplicate transfers, delays, failed payments, refunds, receipts, fee disputes and fraud are matters between you and the library owner and your bank or UPI provider. We are not responsible for them. If we add online payments through a payment gateway in the future, separate terms will apply to those payments and will be shown to you before you use them.
The Application has chat. You are responsible for what you send. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate, sexual or explicit material, illegal content, false information, spam and promotion are not allowed. Users can report messages, and library owners and we can remove content, block a user from chat, or remove an account. Messages are not reviewed on a routine basis. They may be reviewed when they are reported, when needed for safety or to fix errors, or when the law requires. We may keep a record of reported content and share it with authorities if required by law.
You must not: use the Application for anything unlawful; give false information or pretend to be someone else; send false or repeated booking requests; fake attendance or location; use bots, scripts or tools to get around any security or limit; copy, scrape, reverse engineer or attack the Application or our servers; upload harmful code; or disturb other users or library operations.
If we believe you have broken these Terms, misused the Application, or put others or the service at risk, we may warn you, limit features, suspend or permanently remove your access at any time, with or without notice, and without any liability to you. We may also take legal action and give information to the police or any authority as the law allows or requires. You may stop using the Application and delete your account at any time (see section 15).
At present the Application shows no advertisements. We may add advertisements, sponsored content or other services in the future, and we will update our Privacy Policy and give notice before we do. The Application may show images or links from third parties (for example stock images) and uses service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not control third-party sites or services and are not responsible for them.
We may change these Terms or the Application from time to time, for example for law, safety or new features. For any important change, we will give you at least 15 days notice before it starts, through a notice in the Application or on this website, and we will update the "Last Updated" date. Small corrections and changes the law requires may take effect at once. If you continue to use the Application after a change starts, you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept, stop using the Application and delete your account.
The Application, its code, design, name, logo and content are owned by the Developer. You get a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Application under these Terms. You may not copy, sell, rent or build anything from it without written permission.
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". We do not promise that it will always work, be error free, be secure from every attack, or be available at all times. To the fullest extent the law allows, the Developer, its owner and its staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, money, seat, time or opportunity, or for any act, failure, fee demand, safety issue, injury or conduct of any library owner, staff, student or third party. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Application, which is nil because the Application is free. Nothing here limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.
You agree to compensate us for any loss, claim or cost caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Application, to the extent the law allows.
Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled: https://student.9lib.in/privacy. You can delete your account from the Delete Account option in the Application or as described at https://student.9lib.in/delete-account. Records that your library owner keeps in their own Admin software are controlled by that library owner.
